FRIENDS Fame Matthew Perry Found DEAD After Apparent Drowning At LA Home-REPORTS
Matthew Perry, who is popularly known for his iconic role as Chandler Bing in F.R.I.E.N.D.S, reportedly passed away at the age of 54. The actor’s death was confirmed by law enforcement sources and reported by TMZ. Perry’s death comes as a profound loss for the entertainment world.

As per the TMZ report, the F.R.I.E.N.D.S fame was discovered dead at a residence in the Los Angeles area on Saturday. The actor was found in a jacuzzi at the location, and it was noted that no drugs were found on the scene. It is believed that Perry may have drowned.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department responded to the incident and informed PEOPLE magazine that officers were dispatched to Perry's residence in response to a call regarding the death of a male in his 50s.

However, the identity of the deceased was not confirmed by the police at that time.

The TMZ report also maintained that no evidence of foul play was uncovered in connection with Perry's death. The news update also quoted sources disclosing that first responders were summoned to the residence for what appeared to be a case of cardiac arrest.

Born in the scenic town of Williamstown, Massachusetts, on August 19, 1969, Matthew Perry's journey through life was marked by both success and struggles. As a teenager, Perry ventured to Los Angeles in pursuit of his dreams.

Perry secured a few television guest roles, and he recurred as Chazz Russell on 'Boys Will Be Boys' from 1987 to 1988. His subsequent roles include 'Growing Pains' and 'Sydney' paved the way for his major breakthrough in 1994 when he joined the cast of NBC's iconic sitcom, 'Friends'.

While the actor soared in his professional life, Perry wrestled with personal demons like addiction. He sought treatment for substance abuse in 1997 and again in 2001. In a candid interview with Britain's BBC Radio 2 in 2016, Perry revealed that he had no recollection of filming seasons 3 through 6 of 'Friends'.

In a 2013 PEOPLE magazine cover story, Matthew Perry affirmed a history of alcohol and Vicodin abuse, the latter prescribed following a 1997 jet ski accident. Perry confessed, "I had a big problem with alcohol and pills, and I couldn't stop. Eventually, things got so bad that I couldn't hide it, and then everybody knew."

However, something within him "clicked” and the actor flipped his life. He established Perry House, a men's sober living facility, in his former Malibu beach residence, turning a page in his own life's narrative.
